REMINDER: My regular email addresses are caught in DNS hell between my server and Google. Email me at scottlay@gmail.com instead of replying to this message.

Happy Easter to those who observe, or happy "day off" to media folks who have been covering the protests the last five days. Our feet are definitely enjoying the day off. Giants-Dodgers at 5:37pm, with the series tied 1-1.

So, we'll get in and out of here today, as you are likely looking for a day off from my words.

But, one quick rant.

The President said HAPPY EASTER and then went on a tweetstorm on immigration this morning, with big lies--there are no caravans of people coming here for DACA. Yes, there is a caravan from Honduras allegedly headed to the U.S. The last I saw, it was in Chiapas. That's very far from the U.S. border, and Homeland Security is very attentive as to where it is located, and it will not cross in to the U.S. They are claiming asylum and likely have legitimate cases, but we're still processing asylum claims from our interventions in Southeast Asia.

All DACA proposals are retroactive and not prospective and, POTUS now writes "NO MORE DACA DEAL!"

This was after saying all week that Dems killed DACA. Dems offered $25 billion for the wall with DACA and a pathway to citizenship for the childhood arrivals. "He is Risen" has become "his nose has risen" on this holy day.

I try to stay out of national politics in our little space here, but this had me steaming as I ate my huevos rancheros at Vallejo's this Easter morning.

During my long walk on this incredible Easter morning, I was delighted to hear the great LAT's Seema Mehta on Lovett or Leave It. Crooked's pods are generally left leaning, but are a great listen. Crooked is run by a bunch of former Obama administration folks. Pod Save America was the starting point and continues as great ear candy. For those interested in foreign affairs, Pod Save the World is great and I learn a lot by listening.

Have a beautiful day!
