It's another crazy day as I pore over county elections filings A few big counties still haven't updated. No big changes, though, that I know of.

I'm taking a second day off as I do the behind-the-scenes work on candidate filings. My apologies! The hamsters, squirrels an raccoons have non been much help and 730 supposed candidates (final filing is Wednesday, including for the SD32 special) is overwhelming even for a geek like me.

Dr. Vito. We adore you and loved your candidacy for state senate. As Secretary of the California Department of Veterans Affairs, we didn't think that your first high profile appearance would be to announce the deaths of three staffers at the veterans health center in Yountville. Bless you and the workers there for doing Amida Butsu's (in my world) work.

I've written it before. I grew up a hunter and thrived in that legacy. This guy had nine registered firearms and had left mental health treatment. Perhaps we can talk it?

If you don't get choked up by this loss to Sacramento, I don't know what does it for you. Ten years older than Youseffi, this stings beyond the loss to our city. Humans die, but legacies live on. A guy working on the housing crisis in one of our largest cities leaves behind far more than a human body.
