SB 1309, as introduced, Maldonado. Independent contractors:
reports.
Under existing law, the Department of Industrial Relations
administers and enforces various laws relating to employment and
working conditions.
This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact
legislation that would require an independent contractor to file an
annual report with the department detailing any labor law violations
for which that employer was cited during the previous year.
